Cigalus Blanc: precursor of biodynamics at Gérard Bertrand
Cigalus Blanc: Magnified in biodynamics
In Cigalus, the sweetness of life accompanies the cultivation of vines in harmony with nature.
Here, in the heart of the Corbières, on deep soil with an ideal composition, a mixture of sandstone and sand, promoting drainage, and clay, providing a great wealth of minerals and nutrients, the Chardonnay, Viognier and Sauvignon blanc vines benefit from a mild and sunny Mediterranean climate.
Added to this unique environment is the meticulous work of the estate's expert teams: hand-harvested grapes, separate vinification for each grape variety and barrel aging contribute to the creation of a great white wine with an incomparable character.
Cigalus blanc 2019 received a score of 91-93 points from the Robert Parker Wine Advocate guide. This two-value score signifies the wine's aging potential and its ability to improve over time, a characteristic specific to great white wines of beautiful complexity.
