Gérard Bertrand receives the award for Best Red Wine in the World with Château l'Hospitalet Grand Vin rouge 2017 at the IWC 2019

This Tuesday, July 9, the wine world met at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London for the annual IWC 2019 Awards. With 10,000 wines from around the world tasted, a very rigorous evaluation process, a blind tasting in 3 stages by at least 12 different judges, the IWC is renowned as the most prestigious competition in the world . The six jury chairs, Sarah Abbott MW, Tim Atkin MW, Oz Clarke, Dr. Jamie Goode, Charles Metcalfe and Peter McCombie MW, taste each wine awarded a medal, to ensure that only the best vintages are rewarded with an award.

Château l'Hospitalet Grand Vin Rouge AOP La Clape 2017 received the award for best red wine in the world (IWC Champion Red Wine 2019).

This award is an international recognition. It rewards the precision work carried out in the vineyards and in the cellar as well as the commitment to biodynamics and the preservation of biodiversity.

The Château l'Hospitalet Grand Vin Rouge AOP La Clape 2017 received one of the highest scores in the competition: 97/100. It also won the trophy in each of the categories: "La Clape Trophy", "Languedoc Trophy", "French Red Trophy" and the "IWC Champion Red Wine Trophy", thus distinguishing itself as the best red wine in the competition.
