Organic rosé wine
Why choose an organic rosé wine from Languedoc?

In Languedoc, the caresses of the wind and the rays of the sun give rise to an arid soil, with steep slopes offering scrubland of authentic richness.
Produced through a rigorous selection process using healthy, environmentally friendly methods, Languedoc organic rosé wine can rightfully boast of perfectly expressing its terroir. With organic rosé wine, the development of the grapes themselves is as important as the work carried out by human hands in the winery.
Indeed, organic rosé wine is subject to specific regulations regarding additives and technical production constraints to ensure a reduced impact on health.
And yet, from the first sip, an organic rosé wine from Languedoc remains of great organoleptic richness for the greatest pleasure of the taste buds of discerning wine lovers.
To consume a rosé wine that expresses its terroir

A plot of AB-certified vines is a guarantee that its cultivation is in line with the plant and its terroir.
For a rosé wine without synthetic chemical pesticides
Synthetic chemicals include herbicides, fungicides, and insecticides. These synthetic chemical pesticides include substances such as glyphosate and neonicotinoids. Pesticides pollute the air, water, and soil, causing widespread environmental contamination and destroying microflora and fauna. Organic rosé wine is therefore produced without any synthetic treatments being applied to the vines.
Moreover, our AOP Languedoc Source of Joy rosé is produced using organic farming methods, using a complex network of groundwater sources that ensures a pure water resource.
To protect the environment and the Languedoc region
The production of organic rosé wine preserves the intrinsic components revealing the terroir in the Pays d'Oc of terraces of rolled pebbles, sandstone and marl, limestone and schist as well as clay soils, puddingstone and even basalt.
This is particularly the case for our Château La Villa Sauvageonne, located at the gateway to the Causse du Larzac at an altitude of 300 meters. Thus, the organic rosé wine produced on this Languedoc terroir with its volcanic past preserves the environment, while restoring the specificity of this climate and this soil.
For a committed gesture in viticulture in harmony with nature
In spring, work the soil as late as possible to allow microbial flora and fauna to develop. This encourages the reproduction of beneficial insects such as ladybugs, butterflies, bees, and hoverflies, which help pollinate nearby flora. It's important to know that bees are particularly sensitive to insecticides. Fortunately, in organic farming, we do not use neonicotinoids, which are toxic to bees, thus preserving biodiversity.
Moreover, our organic Or et Azur rosé wine is a Bee-Friendly wine. This means it is made with grapes free of products harmful to pollinating insects.
To preserve the identity of the grape varieties

Several winemaking techniques are prohibited for organic rosé wine. Complex know-how is required to prevent oxidation and ensure the wine's structure. Certain practices, such as partial cold concentration of wines for enrichment, electrodialysis, and ultrafiltration, are not permitted. Therefore, an organic rosé wine is produced by being closer to the aromatic expression of its terroir, while preserving the authenticity of each grape variety. Thus, Grenache Gris and Noir, Cinsault, Mourvèdre, and Syrah are selected so that our organic rosé wines respect the imprint of the terroir.
How to choose our organic Change 100% Grenache rosé wine and support our commitment to our philosophy of producing a wine that is attentive to biodiversity through vinification that respects the aromatic expression of Grenache.
To reduce the impact on health
In addition to being grown without pesticides and preserving the environment, organic rosé wine reduces the intake of chemicals through ingestion. The inputs in organic wine are highly controlled, thus reassuring wine consumers. Furthermore, to inform people with sulfite allergies, European regulations require that the addition of sulfites be indicated when present at a level of 10 mg/liter. This is especially true since, according to the WHO, consuming too many sulfites is bad for your health.
Therefore, what is ideal for people allergic to sulfites is to consume wine without added sulfites, like our organic Prima nature Grenache du pays d'Oc rosé wine, certified vegan. And also, for die-hard Syrah lovers, this typical Côtes du Rhône grape variety, in the Prima nature Syrah version.
For a sincere tasting of organic rosé wine from Languedoc
An organic rosé wine simply expresses the potential of the grape in its color, aromas, and flavors. It's a shame to limit its tasting solely to a summer aperitif with friends. In reality, an organic rosé wine is a sincere wine that authentically retains the imprint of its terroir and grape varieties. It asserts a true personality through its delicate flavors and aromatic finesse. Yet influenced by the hand of the man who crafts it, its taste balance is unique. At our place, Gérard Bertrand's organic rosé wines are a welcome addition to every table. And they lend themselves to every tasting experience, to draw the story of our Languedoc terroir in your glass.
This is also the case for our organic Gris Blanc rosé, served at a temperature between 10 and 12°C, with a very pale pink color, flavored with small red fruits offering a refined and sparkling palate delivering freshness and subtle flavors.
