Freshness and Altitude, exceptional terroir of Chardonnay
Under the beneficial influence of the Pyrenees, in the heart of a cool and humid microclimate, the vines of the Domaine de l'Aigle culminate at an altitude of over 500 meters.
This geographical singularity is particularly well suited to grape varieties such as Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Gewürztraminer, which flourish wonderfully.
Thanks to the exceptional terroir and climate of the Domaine de l'Aigle and the special care given to the vines cultivated biodynamically, the grapes here benefit from slow maturation, allowing delicate control of the acidity and the aromatic palette of the wine.
The great white wines produced by Gérard Bertrand and his team are of great finesse and remarkable minerality, demonstrating the wonderful combination of Chardonnay and Gewürztraminer.
